Turnkey Solutions

Turn-key Solution for Effective Online Programs:
A NO PAIN – RAPID DEPLOYMENT APPROACH

iDL is now providing turn-key solutions for the content design, development, deployment, and support of adaptive learning programs for numerous Universities/Colleges. University/College have partnered with iDL in the development of certificate (both non-credit and credit) and credit bearing accredited full degree programs and have generated significant revenues from - both completely asynchronous and blended – adaptive learning programs. The turnkey approach offers a NO PAIN - RAPID DEPLOYMENT approach for the convenience of the iDL academic and corporate partners.

The key advantages of partnering with iDL for a turn–key solution are:

The Business Model:

The turn-key solution, involves iDL providing following services as part of single price-point package for the course design and development. The course development price includes:

  1. Content Acquisition: iDL has agreement with publishers to provide content license for most of the state-of-the art areas.
  2. Content creation (for-hire): iDL works with numerous content experts and authors to create proprietary content on work-for-hire basis that can be owned by the University/College based on a fixed cost.
  3. Instructional Design: iDL will convert the content with the specific instructional design model suggested by the University/College.
  4. Multiple Learning Models: iDL’s trained instructional staff will also create 3-5 different learning models to enable Adaptive Learning.
  5. Intelligent Assessment: iDL’s staff will also create competency assessment questions for continuous intelligent feedback and dynamic revision course.
  6. Deployment: iDL;s trained IT staff will upload course onto iDL’s hosted web servers optimized for the best online performance.
  7. Hosting and Maintenance: iDL trained staff then will host the course website and provide continuous maintenance.
  8. Reporting: iDL generates detail reports on the student activities, performance and grades for University/College administrators and for the accreditation agencies.

The courses can be developed with two ownership options:

  1. Exclusive Ownership
  2. Licensed Custom Course from a Published Content

Option 1. Exclusive Ownership

Cost of Course: In this case, iDL will hire expert authors and content writers to create custom content where the ownership of the converted course and related content will be exclusively granted to the College/University. iDL will also provide timely upgrade to the course content for small upgrade fees to meet changing requirements of the curriculum or certification authority (e.g. PMI)

Technology Fee: The course access and course workbook down load will be provided at per student per course prices. The workbook will be provided in the hardcopy form as PDF download for the student. The price also includes basic 9AM-5Pm Monday-Friday tech support. . (iDL does provide volume discounts on the technology fees on case-by-case basis)

Option 2: License the Custom Course:

Cost of Course: In this case, iDL will obtain license for the content form the leading publishers and may also receive partial funding from publisher to customize an existing textbook or workbook content to the curriculum and syllabus provided by the University/College. The customized content is then converted into an adaptive learning course by iDL staff.

The custom course developed based on the publisher content will be with the agreement that the converted course will be available to University/College for as long as they offer the course and purchase companion textbook/workbook to go with the online course.

In this case, although the content is not exclusive, the custom course and the look and feel for the course is made unique for your University/College.

Technology Fees: The technology fees for the course will be charged per student per course. The price includes basic 9AM-5PM Monday-Friday tech support. (iDL does provide volume discounts on the technology fees on case-by-case basis).

Textbook Fees: The publishers will provide the text/workbook book at the 25% discount of the published purchase price and ship the textbook/workbook to the students registered in the course directly or to a
designated address provided by the College/University.
